Mansfield Domestic Violence Shelter Holds Auction at Festival

The Mansfield Domestic Violence Shelter will hold an auction each Saturday of the festival to raise money for the shelter. Crafters donate one of their handmade items and the shelter will auction it off. The auction is located in Raccoon Hollow at 12pm October 3rd & 10th.


Recycled Glass Bottles Make a Craft That Benefits Two Organizations

ACT, Answering The Call Together is a Non- Profit organization. ACT assists mission organizations by providing suitable equipment, supplies and services. They create and organize short term worldwide mission trips and train, develop and equip teams of volunteers for disaster response and construction. At the Prairie Peddler, they will be selling reclaimed glass art tile designed by Artists' Open Studio at Christie Lane Industries. These decorative tiles will be sold as coasters in sets of four and in gift baskets. Each tile is hand made using recycled glass bottles. Christie Lane Industries, Inc. is a sheltered workshop operated by Huron County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Artists' Open Studio, Inc. Cooperative goal is to create viable job opportunities for persons with exceptionalities. Check out the very unique tiles in booth 57.


Kidzone Proceeds Benefit the American Cancer Society

Once again proceeds from the Kidzone projects will go to The American Cancer Society. The Mansfield Relay for Life Teams: Ohio Cancer Specialists, Crusaders for Cancer and Team Hollywood will be on hand to help out. The family is sure to have fun building a life-size scarecrow and making the other crafts available in the Kidzone and best of all, families are helping out a great cause!
